Recycle your corks!

One of the tricks to this whole "going green" movement is brainstorming ideas to reuse and recycle everyday materials that you would otherwise throw in the trash. Put that "trash" to good use and you've not only reused and recycled, but also reduced (less trash, less new product). It is all one big happy cycle. Reduce Reuse Recycle.

It is often difficult for the average individual, like you and I, to carry out these ideas, so when a business can run with the concept, it makes a huge difference. A materials supplier out of Missouri, Yemm & Hart, embodies this theory - they produce and sell building materials made of 100% recycled products. For example, they have a wine cork recycling program where they manufacture tiles out of used wine corks - click here and scroll all the way down to see how cool they look! I think these would make a really cool floor in a rustic kitchen or even a backdrop for your kitchen counters. You can donate your cork by mailing it to them via UPS (postage paid by them) to:
Wine Cork Recycling
Yemm & Hart Ltd.
610 South Chamber Dr.
Fredericktown, MO 63645

So, winos, save up a bunch of your corks and mail them in! Why not?
