I watched parts of this show. It's kind of freaky to think that much can happen with that little of a temp change. The rivers that cut through the glaciers were crazy.
I DVR'd it, but haven't found the time to watch it yet. Probably this weekend. Shows like this are usually designed to shock the public, so I'm sure the show will take heat from some (no pun intended) for being overly dramatic. But there are experts that believe these things can happen, so it is something you have to consider.
