Recycling can be very easy if you live in a place with a good recycling program. On the flip side, it can be quite burdensome if you have no help in figuring out what, where and when to recycle. My town (Hopkinton, MA) provides pretty good guidelines (which seems to be pretty universal) as to what you can and cannot recycle. I would suggest checking with your town/city hall to first determine if they even have a recycling program. If not, there may be a company or other organization in your area that recycles. I haven't confronted this problem, so I'm not really sure where else to look, but if I find any information, I will share. As a general rule, most plastic, glass and metal containers as well as paper/cardboard are recyclable.
Here are some more good guidelines, courtesy of my sister: http://www.coopamerica.org/pubs/caq/articles/21Things.cfm
As recycling is such a HUGE topic, it will definitely be a topic in many posts to come...
